Farah Khan comments on Deepika Padukone “post the Ranbir Kapoor episode”

Deepika Padukone has undoubtedly come a long way in her acting career. ��After a debut directed by Farah Khan, which won her much praise, the actress went through a rough phase professionally but has now reached incredible heights. ��According to Farah Khan, Padukone’s past relationship and break-up with Ranbir Kapoor has contributed in helping the actress with her craft.

Speaking to��Grazia, Khan said, “Deepika was always a really mature person but I think she got more worldly-wise over time. A heartbreak does that to you. ��Post the Ranbir (Kapoor) episode, there was a sadness to her, which I believe helped her craft. I think all artists need that.”

The filmmaker also went on to speak of Padukone’s personality, saying, “Deep down, she’s actually really hyper-emotional. Just yesterday, she sent me a long message of love saying that she was on set with Vin Diesal, and none of this would’ve happened if it weren’t for me.”

Khan admits that she would get “very upset” at some of Padukone’s initial professional choices, however, Padukone “would not listen”.

Currently, Padukone seems to be content in her relationship with Ranveer Singh and is also riding high professionally. ��It can be noted that Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor now��share an amicable professional relationship, despite their shared past.
