EXCLUSIVE: South Asia World confirm UK launch

ZEE Network will be launching its sixth channel in the UK next month, it has been confirmed.

Indian broadcaster TV18’s channel South Asia World (SAW) will be distributed by ZEE Network in the UK after its successful debut in the US last year. South Asia World, is the world?s first English-language channel dedicated to South Asians all over the world. Broadcasting Live from India. The channel will carry news and views from India and the subcontinent. It will also include local coverage of news from the UK and US.

With a fully equipped studio in the Empire State Building in New York, bureaus in Washington D.C. and the San Francisco Bay Area, reporters from coast-to-coast in the U.S., in live news studios in Mumbai and Delhi, South Asia World is geared to give the community news in an innovative way.

South Asia World will become ZEE Network’s sixth channel. It recently launched ZEE Gujarati. South Asia World will be available on Sky Digital EPG number 540 from Thursday 2nd June. It will air free for one month before encrypting in July. More on South Asia World on Biz Asia in the next few days.
