The UK’s first all Sikh educational and religious TV channel launches in March, we can exclusively confirm.
The Sikh Channel, as it will be simply known as has been in planning stages since early last year. Davinder Singh Bal is behind the channel who up until now has been controlling two other media ventures including Legal TV and Red TV.
Last month, Legal TV switched from broadcasting on Sky Digital into an Internet-only channel. Red TV on the other hand commenced its transmission on Sky Digital (in Legal TV’s previous EPG slot) in mid-December.
Whilst details of the new service remain sketchy, an exclusive announcement on BizAsia.co.uk is expected mid-February.
The Sikh Channel launches on Sky Digital on Monday 10th March.
