Exclusive: First look of Channel 44 UK

BizAsiaLive.com has exclusive show promos of the UK’s first local Asian news broadcaster, Channel 44.

The service, which commences next week, will be available on Sky channel 854 from around 30th September 2016.

Channel 44 will focus on local news stories, with its main studios in London and reporters across the UK. It is owned by the same group as Channel 24 and City 42 (Lahore channel) in Pakistan. All programmes will be shot in HD but broadcast in SD.

Going by the initial promos released by the broadcaster, Channel 44 will also broadcast current affairs shows from Pakistan including ‘DNA’, Nasim Zehra @ 8′, ‘Mujahid Live’, ‘Situation Room’ and ‘Meray Aziz Hum Watnoo’. Most of the shows will be broadcast live from Pakistan during the afternoon band in the UK. Evening shows in the UK will consist of repeats and live local bulletins.

Channel 44 will be handled by Evolution, the same company, which looks after Hum TV in UK/Europe.
