‘English Vinglish’ to premiere at Toronto Film Festival

'English Vinglish' set for Toronto premiere

The much awaited comeback movie of Sridevi, ‘English Vinglish’ (2012), is set to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival this year which is going to be held from from 6th – 16th September.

Eros International�۪s ‘English Vinglish’ also marks the directorial debut of Gauri Shinde, wife of film-maker R Balki who is also the producer of the film. The film is going to be premiered on Friday 14th September. The film stars Sridevi, Adil Hussain, Mehdi Nebbou and Priya Anand.

The film is scheduled to be part of the highly coveted Galas�۪ section for a world premiere.

‘English Vinglish’ is a story of a woman�۪s struggle with the English language and the insecurities she faces because of it. The film shot mostly in New York captures her transformational journey. Hilarious, touching, sensitive, this film marks the return of India�۪s biggest female star – Sridevi.

The film has Music by Amit Trivedi, Lyrics by Swanand Kirkire, Sound by Resul Pookutty, Cinematography by Laxman Utekar and is Edited by Hemanti Sarkar.

‘English Vinglish’ gets a full release worldwide on Friday 21st September.
