Emraan Hashmi considers himself an outsider

Emraan Hashmi Ungli

Actor Emraan Hashmi has never hesitated in confessing that he is not a fan of watching Bollywood movies. In fact, the actor considers himself to be an outsider in the film industry because he has never followed the expected norms.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Hashmi said, I۪ve always been an outsider. I never wanted to be an actor. I didn۪t watch Hindi films and I still don۪t. I didn۪t have that yearning to be part of Bollywood_ I probably don۪t fit into the psyche, the egos and the way the industry functions. I find film parties boring. I can۪t go up to people, praise their films and make them feel good because I don۪t watch them in the first place_ I don۪t want to change that either. Acting became a profession for me, and now, it۪s how I earn my livelihood. Having said that, I am extremely dedicated to my craft, and I have always given it everything.۝

Hashmi was last seen in Kunal Deshmukh۪s Raja Natwarlal۪ (2014), which underperformed at the box office.

The actor۪s next release will be Dharma Productions۪ Ungli۪, which also stars Kangna Ranaut and Sanjay Dutt. The film is slated to release on 28th November.
