‘Veere Di Wedding’ one of the most anticipated films for 2018, has a strong four female lead in the film. Ekta Kapoor who is producing the film pointed out that this isn’t a chick-flick.
Reported in Deccan Chronicle, the Indian TV and film producer explains that it would be incorrect to call the film a chick-flick as it is more about friends bonding. “If one calls it a chick flick, it would be taking away from the essence of the film,” shrugs Ekta. “It’s about girl bonding; it’s about friends. It’s a film you will see a lot of layers in once you watch the movie. All girls around the world will feel a sense of pride.”
The official posters for ‘Veere Di Wedding’ were released back in October and sees Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania coming together in celebration. It also marks the first comeback film for the ‘Ki & Ka’ (2016) actress after giving birth of Taimur Ali Khan last year.
Directed by Shashanka Ghosh and co-produced by Rhea Kapoor, ‘Veere Di Wedding’ is slated to release in May 2018.
