DM Digital to launch news channel in June

Manchester based DM Digital is now gearing to launch its third channel in June this year.

The channel called DM News Plus will be the first British Pakistani English language news channel broadcasting round the clock from its headquarters in Manchester.

DM News Plus will also take advantage of the network’s newly built high-tech studios in Islamabad reportedly worth �10m. The studios have been conveniently located next to the Pakistani parliament to bring viewers regular updates of news and current affairs from back home.

So far, the network boasts of flagship entertainment channel DM Digital and religious service DM Islam TV. Both channels are available on Sky Digital free-to-air.

In other DM Digital news, the network has purchased over 2000 Pakistani movies and 50 new drama serials.
