Divya Dutta to sing in Shyam Benegal’s next

Shyam Benegal’s next movie is based on the history of Punjab. Divya Dutta is expected to lend her vocals for the film, BizAsia has learnt.

Dutta told Mumbai Mirror that she immediately took up Benegal’s offer to narrate the film, “It’s always an enriching experience to work with Mr. Benegal. There is never a dull day on set as he has so much to talk about, not just about cinema but on food, travel and culture. I’m the narrator in the film which is entirely set in Punjab.”

Talking about singing too, the actress said, “Well, that’s the plan and I have already done a recording. It’s making me really nervous and I’m hoping it turns out well”.

Dutta was last seen in ‘Badlapur’ (2015) and was appreciated in the role.
