Director confirms Rhea’s ‘Chehre’ role won’t be cut despite ongoing investigation

With the ongoing case in the death of Sushant Singh Rajput continuing, questions will no doubt arise on whether Rhea Chakraborty’s career would be affected by the ongoing investigation.

The only film that she has currently on the horizon is ‘Chehre,’ which also features Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi. Chakraborty got the film courtesy of the late Singh Rajput and his friend, director Rumi Jaffrey.

When asked whether the recent investigation around Chakraborty would affect the film, a source close to the production said, “Luckily not. She has only one film Chehre which she signed because of Sushant’s friendship with Rumi. Rhea plays a small role in the film. The main plot is concerned with the characters played by Bachchan Saab and Emraan Hashmi. Rhea has completed her work in Chehre before all her troubles started,”

Rumours are circulating that her role may be cut out completely. But director Jaffrey denies this and said, “Rhea cannot and won’t be pushed out of the entertainment industry. I know many filmmakers won’t even consider her for their films. But she is a strong resilient girl. She won’t turn the other cheek. She will make sure she gets justice.”
