Her recent releases have seen her reaching new heights, and with her forthcoming film ‘Happy New Year’ just days away from releasing, Deepika Padukone it seems has become unstoppable.

However, the actress doesn’t believe in the materialistic things that come with her achievements. Talking about her work and what she looks for, Times of Indiareported the actress expressing, “Appreciation is important. What do we work for? If I work hard for my film and if my work is not appreciated, then what is the point.”

“In fact, money is the least important thing and success also is not so important. The love and appreciation that we get, is important and valuable,” she went onto add.

Having been introduced by Farah Khan where she debuted in ‘Om Shanti Om’ (2007) opposite Shah Rukh Khan, Padukone has once again joined her first peers for their upcoming film ‘Happy New Year’. Talking about the film the actress went onto say, “They wanted a new girl in the beginning. After ‘Chennai Express’ (2013), I got a call from Farah, and she said she wants me in her film. I didn’t even hear the narration and said, ‘Yes’, and luckily, the dates worked out.It happened last minute. They didn’t find a girl and they came to me and I am happy that I could fit the film.”

The multi starer film also includes Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sanu Soon and Vivaan Shah.
