Deepika Padukone: “Ranbir Kapoor can’t get married till I allow it”

If you have been wondering when Ranbir Kapoor and his current girlfriend Katrina Kaif would enter the wedlock, Deepika Padukone apparently has all the answers as the actress claims that her ‘Tamasha’ co-star will not wed till she allows him.

Kapoor, 33, who used to be romantically involved with Padukone around eight years back, still shared a cordial relation with the actress. “Ranbir can’t get married till I allow it��_,” Padukone told PTI.

Remarking over the same comment, Kapoor said, “It’s a very big question about my life. I completely believe in the institution of marriage. When I will get married, I will let the whole world know about it.”

Kapoor and Padukone have collaborated for the third time in Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Tamasha’ after giving two superhits together in ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ (2008) and ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ (2012). The two actors started their Bollywood journey on the same day with two different films; Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Saawariya’ (2007) and Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Om Shanti Om’ (2007) respectively.

“It feels just like yesterday. I saw Deepika outside��Saawariya��sets walking across to��Om Shanti Om��set.��Eight years have passed and we have no idea.��We have worked hard and reached the point we have desired for in our lives,” Kapoor said.

For Padukone, Kapoor is still the same person she met eight years back. “It’s a very unique situation. We have heard about actors debuting in the same year but actors debuting on the same day is something which does not happen normally. I hope he never changes. But it has been an amazing journey,” said the actress.

‘Tamasha’ will release on 27th November.
