Deepika Padukone opens up on ‘Pinga’ controversy

Deepika Padukone has opened up for the first time about the controversy surrounding the latest song from ‘Bajirao Mastani’.

DNA India reports that Mohini Karkarey, who is a descendant of the Peshwas claimined that Kashibai could not have danced because she was suffering from arthritis.

Talking about this, Padukone said, “Yes, I read some stories today. But I have no idea what it’s all about.” Ask her about her opinion on the same and DP turns defensive. “I think the best person to talk about this would be Sanjay Leela Bhansali and I guess, I would rather let him clear it.”

The new trailer of the film, which unveils today is expected to give some further insight into the controversy.
