Deepika Padukone on Ranbir Kapoor missing her wedding reception

Deepika Padukone got married to Ranveer Singh at a lavish wedding last month. While there were rumours of her ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor being present at the grand reception in Mumbai, he decided to skip it.

Reports say that Kapoor’s hectic schedule for ‘Brahmastra’ with new girlfriend, Alia Bhatt, kept him away from the celebrations. A source at the time told PinkVilla, “Alia and Ranbir along with Ayan Mukerji did a 20 hour shift for ‘Brahmastra’ on Saturday and hence couldn’t make it for the bash.”

However in a recent interaction, Padukone told Filmfare that she was not expecting Kapoor to attend. She said, “We have not spoken. I mean we had spoken before the reception but we haven’t spoken after it. But, that’s him. I’m not surprised at all. That’s the relationship we share and that’s the beauty of that relationship. Like I mean, so much is said without saying much at all.”
