Deepika Padukone not approached for ‘Ram Leela’

Since the news broke that Kareena Kapoor had walked out of the project, everyone has been left wondering who would fill her shoes in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Ram Leela’. It had been suggested of late that Deepika Padukone had signed the film but the��she has confirmed that this is very much not the case.

According to Deccan Chronicle, Padukone has not yet been approached for the venture. A friend of Padukone’s said, “She is yet to hear from Bhansali�۪s office”.

Padukone also commented, “I have grown up watching his movies. It would be every actor�۪s dream to work with Sanjayji. He presents his heroines so wonderfully in his films.” However, talking about whether she would take up the project if it came her way, “Of course yes, something would work out for sure. But as of now, no one has approached me and there is absolutely no progress”.

It remains to be seen who the role actually goes to. Wait and watch!
