Deepika Padukone hoping other stars take chance in Hollywood

Deepika Padukone is set for her big Hollywood debut ‘xXx: The Return of Xander Cage’, when it releases in January.

Padukone is the second Bollywood actress recently to make a splash in Hollywood, after Priyanka Chopra. Now, the long legged beauty is hoping other A-listers also take a chance with Hollywood icons.

In a chat with Bombay Times, Padukone was asked if other Bollywood stars would follow her way to Hollywood. She said, “I hope so, but I also feel different things excite different people. I have been offered roles in the past itself but I don’t think I was ready and I don’t think I was excited enough.”

Asked if there were any major differences between the two industries, she added, “There are similarities. The fact that I didn’t find anything glaringly different says a lot about Indian film industry. We have evolved as a industry – independent producers, big studios, the kind of movies we are making, its content and our basic work ethic.”
