Deepika Padukone after fire in building: “I am safe”
Deepika Padukone has taken to Twitter to confirm that she is safe after a huge fire engulfed the building where she lives.
The actress, who was not at home at the time, lives on the 26th floor of Prabhadevi’s Beaumonde Towers.
She said, “I am safe. Thank you everyone. Let us pray for our firefighters who are at site risking their lives.”
Padukone was shooting for a commercial at the time of the fire. Her staff members were among those, who were evacuated.
Two firefighters were taken to hospital after complaints of suffocation. No other casualties were reported.
