Deepika “overwhelmed & emotional” ahead of ‘Padmaavat’ release

Deepika Padukone is the main lead of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmaavat’ which is releasing worldwide on 25th January. On the eve of the film’s release Padukone shared how she felt at the sidelines of an awards event.

“I am extremely overwhelmed and emotional right now. This film has been through so much and now, to see the film finally releasing and the kind of reactions that the film is getting, it is extremely over whelming. Happy to see the reactions I am getting for my performance,” said Padukone, according to ANI News, while on the HT Most Stylish Awards red carpet.

She went on to add, “We are extremely excited for the release tomorrow. It’s a big day for us. On behalf of the entire film, we thank all of you for being so supportive. Now it’s time for us to celebrate and see the film doing wonders at the Box Office”.

Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor also star in the Bhansali directorial. Initial reactions from press around the world and those who have seen preview shows have been positive and complimentary to the project as a whole.
