David Dhawan still working on ‘Judwaa 2’ script

‘Judwaa 2’ has been in news ever since Sajid Nadiadwala announced that Varun Dhawan will replace Salman Khan in the sequel to the 1996 super hit directed by David Dhawan.

The film, which was initially slated to go on floors by July 2016, has now been pushed to the year-end as director Dhawan wants to come up with a good story for the sequel instead of just cashing in on the popularity of ‘Judwaa’.

Dhawan told IANS, “We are going to start shooting by the end of the year. Right now, I am working on the script. We have to make sure the story justifies a sequel. We can’t just work on a sequel to cash in on a successful film. That’s why we waited 18 years to do the sequel.”
