There have been many Bollywood remakes from many different languages. Some are made with full copyright, but then there are some movies who face often face copyright and plagiarism charges. The latest film to be under the scanner, for copyright infringement, is Kapil Sharma’s debut film, ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon’.

According to Bollywood Hungama,Kannada filmdirector, Hemanth Hedge has claimed that that ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon’ is a remake of his 2014 film, ‘Nimbe Huli’. He says that he had sold therights of his film to Tamil director K. Madesh, but the makers of Kis Kisko have not acquired therights from Madesh nor himself. There has been a case registered with the Madras High Court, but Hedge is also contemplating onfiling a plagiarism suit as well.

The producer ofKis Kisko, Ratan Jain, says that these claims have no truth to them. He stated,”We had registered the scriptfor KKKPK with the screenwriters association back in 2008 along with the dialogues of the film as well, whileNimbe Huli released in 2014. So effectively proving that my film was ready much before Nimbe Huli, so how can KKKPKbe a copy? As of now I have not received any formal proceedings of a case being filed, nor have I watched theKannada film. In fact I am trying to get my hands on a copy of the film togain a better picture of this.”

‘Kis Kisko Pyar Karoon’is directed by the popular duo, Abbas Mustan, and is slated to release on 25th September.
