Confirmed: ‘Joker’ postponed to September

'Joker' release postponed until September
Full cast of 'Joker' led by Akshay Kumar & Sonakshi Sinha

Shrish Kunder has confirmed that his upcoming release ‘Joker’ will now release in September, being postponed by two weeks.

The Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha starer was due for release at the end of August but has been shifted to Friday 14th September to avoid a clash with Salman Khan’s movie ‘Ek Tha Tiger’.

Kunder confirmed the news on Twitter and said, “To all Salman & Akshay fans who had requested me to shift the release date of #JOKER away from Ek tha Tiger, I hope you are happy now.”

‘Joker’ is a comedy, which centres around Kumar’s character who believes in aliens and the frolics he gets up to with other villagers. The film also releases in 3D.

Just a few days back, Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha’s latest film together ‘Rowdy Rathore’ has been declared a box office blockbuster – raking in nearly Rs 50 crore in just three days of its release in India.
