Child-star Harshaali Malhotra walks out of ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’

7-year-old Harshaali Malhotra has surely created a place for herself in B-town post her impressive debut performance in ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ (2015). A little known fact is that the young star was initially to debut with Sooraj Barjatya’s ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’. ��However, Malhotra will no longer be part of Barjatya’s film.

Clarifying the situation, Malhotra’s mother, Kajal, said to DNA India, “Actually, Harshaali was there in (‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’) but it was a very small role… She was one of those kids who would have played the childhood role. But after doing such a pivotal role in one of the biggest films, it would not be right for her to do such short roles. I won’t approve such minute roles anymore.”

The mother went on to say superstar Salman Khan wholeheartedly supported her decision.

“I directly spoke to Salman (Khan) and he was gracious enough to understand our point. We had not even started shooting… Now that the film has released, even Salman feels that she should not do such a small role which will hardly make any impact. They have chosen some other kid to do the role in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’.”

‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ stars Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor in lead roles. ��The film is slated for a Diwali release this year. ��It will be Khan’s second festival release this year, following the tremendous success of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’.
