Channel 4 privatisation process to go ahead

The process to privatise Channel 4 are set to go ahead today.

Despite the uproar from sectors of the media industry and some ministers, the government insists that the broadcaster needs to be sold off. The government will also publish the conclusions of a 60,000 public consultation, according to The Guardian.

The announcement will be made as a part of a number of sweeping media polices being announced in parliament.
