CBBC ventures into Bollywood studio show

UK based children’s channel CBBC has commissioned a Bollywood-themed studio entertainment show for kids from RDF Media production house.

The programme called ‘Planet Ajay’ will incorporate music, dance, comedy characters and sketches, along with interactive audience challenges. Ajay Chhabra will play a number of the comedy characters.

RDF Media holds the international rights for the show and will be launching it at MipTV next week.

‘Planet Ajay’ is one of a number of new commissions by CBBC controller Anne Gilchrist.
