Brahims community offers Rs. 1 crore reward to “blacken” Anurag Kashyap’s face

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has found himself at the centre of a heated controversy following a shocking online comment. Kashyap angered the Brahmins community by stating that he “would urinate on Brahmins.”

The uproar began when Kashyap responded to a post online, and his statement quickly went viral. Many criticised his remarks as hateful, accusing him of promoting caste-based discrimination. Social media erupted with demands for an apology, and hashtags calling for his boycott began trending.

In response, Kashyap issued a public apology via social media, explaining that his words had been misunderstood. He wrote, “I apologise for how the line was taken.” However, he stood firm on his ideological stance, which left many unconvinced. While some supported him, others felt his apology lacked sincerity.

The situation escalated as several Brahmins organisations united to demand strict action against Kashyap. Matters took a dramatic turn when six major groups announced a reward of Rs. 1 lakh for anyone who “blackens Kashyap’s face.”

The protest is being spearheaded by the Sarva Brahmin Mahasabha and Pandit Suresh Mishra, who also leads the Chanakya Sena. Over the weekend, a joint meeting saw support from other Brahmins groups, including the Brahmin Seva Sangh, Akhil Bharatiya Brahmin Mahasabha, Vishwa Brahmin Parishad, and Akhil Bharatiya Brahmin Sangh.
