Box Office: ‘Wazir’ opens poorly in India

The first major release at the box office in India, ‘Wazir’ has had a poor start at the ticket window.

According to Box Office India, ‘Wazir’ has collected around 15% but is expected to pick up throughout the weekend. The film had smaller opening than Farhan Akhtar’s last release ‘Shaadi Ke Side Effects’ but more than Amitabh Bachchan’s last two films ‘Shamitabh’ and ‘Piku’.

Reviews of ‘Wazir’ are above average so hopefully word-of-mouth will resurrect the film’s business tonight and at the weekend.
