Box Office: ‘Simmba’ roars with business of Rs. 75 crore in first weekend

Rohit Shetty dominated the box office over its first weekend of release, with business of around Rs. 75.25 crore nett approx.

According to Box Office India, the Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan starrer was the fourth biggest film (weekend collections) of the year, behind ‘Sanju’, ‘Race 3’ and ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’. It also was the best ever film for Ranveer Singh beating ‘Padmaavat’ by a margin. It also is ahead of Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Zero’ by around Rs. 23 crore nett.

‘Simmba’ collected 20,50,00,000 apprx on Friday, 23,75,00,000 apprx on Saturday and a further 31,00,00,000 apprx on Sunday. The film’s total so far stands at 75,25,00,000 apprx.
