Ayushmann Khurrana’s comedy ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ has opened up well in India, while ‘Bhoot’ got off to an average start, according to Box Office India data.

‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ based on a couple of gay characters, had an opening of around 20-25%, helped by the Mahashivratri festivities. Depending how the rest of the day’s business goes, the film can prove the biggest opening day film for Khurrana, previously held by ‘Dream Girl’, which clocked up Rs. 9.43 crore.

Dharma Productions’ horror flick ‘Bhoot’ opened up to an average response with around 15-20%. It has done well in areas where horror films tend to do well including Maharashtra, West Bengal and Nizam / Andhra. The film may do well as it is made on a low budget.
