Box Office: ‘Sanam Re’ leaps ahead of ‘Fitoor’ in opening weekend

It was the battle between the big and small budget movies this past weekend and once again, it was the smaller movie , which has outperformed the bigger title.

The much publicised ‘Fitoor’ disappointed at the box office with a total of Rs. 13 crore over Friday – Sunday period. In comparison, ‘Sanam Re’ garnered Rs. 17 crore during the same period. The film has already recovered Rs. 16 crore from music, satellite and overseas distribution.

‘Sanam Re’ starring Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam, was made on a budget of Rs. 20.50 crore.
