Box Office: ‘PK’ beats ‘Dhoom 3’; collects Rs. 276 crore

Rajkumar Hirani’s much talked about film ‘PK’ has emerged as one of the Indian film industry’s highest grossing film of all-time in India.

The film, which stars Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma, collected more than Rs. 276 crore in just two-weeks of its release beating the lifetime business of ‘Dhoom 3’. Earlier, it was reported that ‘Dhoom 3’ recorded close to Rs. 265 crore, while ‘Chennai Express’ managed Rs. 258 crore in the domestic market.

It remains to be seen how much more the film will add at ticket counters around the world. One thing is for sure, the recent uproar from various religious groups who demanded a ban on the film, has certainly helped with such huge box office ticket sales.
