Box Office: ‘OK Jaanu’ gets off to an average start in India

Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor’s much talked about new release ‘OK Jaanu’ has had a steady start at the box office in India.

The film, which is this year’s first major release, registered collections of around 25% at multiplexes, according to Box Office India. The film has had a bigger opening than Kapoor’s last film ‘Rock On 2’ (2016) and also better than Kapur’s previous 2016 film ‘Fitoor’.

‘OK Jaanu’ has had a good opening in Mumbai, Pune and Banglaore. However, the film could witness huge competition from ‘xXx: Return Of Xander Cage’, which hits cinemas in India on Saturday. The report adds that ‘OK Jaanu’ already has less shows on Saturday to accommodate the Hollywood release, starring Vin Diesel and Deepika Padukone.
