Box Office: ‘Krrish 3’ makes history; beats ‘Chennai Express’

The official figures of ‘Krrish 3’ at the box office are proving to be mindboggling, with records being broken as days go by.

On Friday 1st November, the Hrithik Roshan-Priyanka Chopra superhero film raked in Rs 25.20 crore – a first for any non holiday pre-Diwali Friday. It followed by Rs.23.20 crore on the second day with impressive Diwali day collections at Rs.24.30 crore. Then on Monday 4th November, ‘Krrish 3’ pulled in Rs 35.91 crore – highest single day record in history! It beat the first day collections of ‘Chennai Express’, which managed to earn Rs 33.10 crores on its opening day when it released in August.

Hrithik Roshan tweeted, “Nothing resonates more than BO records and the stupendous, record-shattering biz of #Krrish3 proves it.”

All in all, the blockbuster movie has raked in Rs.72.7 crore within the first three days of its release.
