Box Office: ‘Dear Zindagi’ opens up well

The much hyped release ‘Dear Zindagi’ has opened up well in India, according to data published by Box Office India.

The film, which stars Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan, had an opening around of 45% from its limited release across India. The opening is good, which means the overall weekend collections will benefit from Friday’s initial collections.

Gauri Shinde’s previous film ‘English Vinglish’ (2012) did good business at the box office but with the way ‘Dear Zindagi’ has opened up, it may cross the business of the Sridevi film. Shah Rukh Khan’s star power has certainly injected the boost ‘Dear Zindagi’ required. The positive reviews of the film will also work in advantage to ‘Dear Zindagi’.
