Box Office: ‘D Day’ & ‘Ramaiya Vastavaiya’ disappoint

This weekend’s two major releases ‘D Day’ and ‘Ramaiya Vastavaiya’ have both opened to a poor response at the box office in India.

The collections of both averaged at around 25%, lower in some parts. Multiplexes collections were not so good and neither were single singles. ‘Ramaiya Vastavaiya’ may do better at the weekend on single screens but looks unlikely. This will result in ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ being the first choice for cinemagoers – as it has been in Delhi and East Punjab.

In Punjab, ‘Jatt and Juliet 2’ continues its dream run at the box office.
