Box Office: ‘Chennai Express’ marks 150 crores in India & 200 crores worldwide

Rohit Shetty’s ‘Chennai Express’, although showing signs of slowing down, is still raking in the money at the box office. The film has entered the coveted 150 crore club in India, BizAsia can confirm. The film becomes the fifth film to do so in history, according to Times of India.

‘Chennai Express’ is also continuing to do well in the overseas market. According to IBTimes, the film is at the 72 crores mark. It’s domestic total is 156.70. In international territories, ‘Chennai Express’ is now in the top five the highest collections within its first week of release.

Starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles, the film is a family entertainer which has surpassed many domestic and overseas box office records since its release on 8th August.
