'Creature 3D' postponed

Bipasha Basu’s forthcoming horror film ‘Creature 3D’ has had its release postponed by a month, reportedly.

‘Creature 3D’ originally scheduled to be release on 22nd August will now hit cinemas on 12th September. The film will mark the debut of Pakistani actor Imran Abbas opposite Basu.

Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt is happy with the delay since it will avoid a clash with Ajay Devgn’s ‘Singham Returns’. “It’s a mega budget film for both Bhushan and me. We had to push forward the release by two weeks because Ajay Devgn’s Singham Returns releases on August 15 and we didn’t want to come so close,” Bhatt told IANS.

Film producer Bhushan Kumar cited VFX work for the delay. “Vikram is working on the post production of the film since there is a lot of VFX work to be done. He has shot it at par with international standards and this will be a treat for the Indian audience. We have chalked out our promotional plans and have taken a mutual decision with our distributors to postpone the release of the film. Now the film will hit the screens on September 12,” Kumar said.

After ‘Raaz’ (2002) and ‘Raaz 3’ (2012). ‘Creature 3D’ is the third film in which Basu and Bhatt are coming together.
