Hindi entertainment channel, Sahara One is in for an overhaul after reports emerged that Boney Kapoor has exited the company with immediate effect.
Mid-Day reports that the filmmaker turned head honcho has not been seen in the office over a month and if rumours are to be believed then he is no longer with the organisation.
A source told the publication, “The entire Sahara channel and the production house are going for a revamp and Sandeep Wadhwa has joined the channel as its head. After two years, Boney is out of Sahara.”
Although there has been no major issue surrounding Kapoor’s exit from the company, the group was unhappy with the channel’s performance since Kapoor was in charge. Beside ‘SurKshetra’, which did not do well for the channel, other promises he made had not been delivered.
The source adds, “The much-talked about show Surkshetra has also not done as well as expected. After the finale over a month ago, Boney has not been seen in the office.”
