While promoting his upcoming Bollywood debut ‘Raanjhanaa’, singer-actor Dhanush seems to be enjoying the process of filmmaking in the industry. However, despite having high hopes for the film, the actor has made it clear that being a part of the Bollywood industry in particular isn’t too important for him.

As Dhanush speaks to the media, he expresses that he just wants to be a part of good films, be it in Bollywood or in South films. “It’s not important for me to make it in Bollywood.I just want to be part of good films whether I make it here or not is not important,” Times of India reported the actor stating.

Already being established in the South, Dhanush had been approached by filmmakers from Bollywood before, as he goes onto say, “I rejected many films because my hands were full and in past five years I did about 10 films and it’s too much for me. I take eight to nine months to do a film.”

Talking of why he decided to take on ‘Raanjhanaa’, Dhanush adds “Doing Bollywood movie was not on my mind. I was offered films since a long time. When ‘Raanjhanaa’was offered to me, I just followed my heart.”

Despite having a number of South films under his belt, Dhanush is best known for his song Kolaveri Di whereby he became a YouTube sensation, rating over 6 million hits. ‘Raanjhannaa’ will see him share the screen with Sonam Kapoor and Abhay Deol. The film is set to release on 21st June.
