‘Besharam’ set to be India’s widest release ever

Thinking back to last month and release of ‘Chennai Express’ (2013), one may remember UTV very candidly saying that the film will be releasing in a record number of screens within India. However, it seems ‘Besharam’ will be topping that when it releases on Friday.

In an interesting competitive development, BizAsia can confirm that ‘Besharam’ will be released by Reliance Entertainment in no less than 3600 screens in the sub-continent in comparison to the 3500 that ‘Chennai Express’ opened in. As a result, ‘Besharam’ will already see a record-breaking spree even before it begins it’s cash-in at the box office.

‘Chennai Express’ has broken all records since it released, both nationally and worldwide. Will Ranbir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and Pallavi Sharda starrer ‘Besharam’ quash those records and re-create them itself? Wait and watch!
