BBC overturns decision on Naga Munchetty

The BBC has overturned a decision to partially uphold a complaint against its ‘Breakfast’ presenter, Naga Munchetty.

BBC’s Director General, Lord Hall released a statement saying Munchetty’s word were not “sufficient to merit a partial uphold” of the complaint against her. Hall said that he had personally reviewed the decision.

Munchetty has been embroiled in controversy after the BBC found she had criticised Donald Trump’s motives in saying four female Democrats should “go back” to “places from which they came”. Munchetty had been found in breach of BBC’s guidelines.
