‘Bajre Da Sitta’ premieres on Amazon Prime Video

Prime Video today announced the exclusive digital premiere of the Punjabi family drama, ‘Bajre Da Sitta’, starring Ammy Virk, Tania, and Noor Chahal. Written and directed by Jass Grewal, and produced by Shri Narotamji Studios, TIPS Films Ltd., and Ammy Virk Production, Bajre Da Sitta will be available to stream on Prime Video starting today in more than 240 countries and territories.

Set in pre-millennial Punjab, ‘Bajre Da Sitta’ follows the lives of two sisters, Roop (Tania) and Basant (Noor Chahal). Both gifted singers who get an opportunity to sing for a music company, however, the patriarchal norms pose a huge hurdle for their musical aspirations. The film beautifully highlights the struggles of women who have to fight for their voices to be heard in a staunch dogmatic society.
