B4U Network signs deal to co-produce Hollywood films

Popular Asian TV broadcaster, B4U Network has signed a deal with Relativity Media to co-produce a slate of Hollywood films including ‘The Best Of Me’.

According to a report on Yahoo, the companies said the production investment will be some $100 million. The agreement will see the distribution of ‘The Best Of Me’ in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan in October 2014.

The joint venture to be headed by B4U CEO Ishan Saksena, will also see the two parties co-invest and co-produce and distribute Indian language films and television shows as well as acquire projects in the U.S. and South Asian markets, it will distribute third-party content in India and selected Bollywood films in the U.S. In the TV space it will create and launch a new pay channel in India focused on Hollywood content, playing out in both English and Hindi, and launch ���RelaTV�۝ ��� a digital streaming technology platform to deliver compelling short and long form content to Indian consumers.

The deal was announced at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival 2014.
