Author wants to cast Fawad, Sushant & Alia for film
Author Pankaj Dubey wants to cast Fawad Khan, Sushant Singh Rajput and Alia Bhatt for the adaptation of his new book. Dubey launched his new book titled ‘Love Curry’ on December 22nd.
The popular author’s new book focusses on the lives of three young men living in the UK and their journey of love and cultural identity. Dubey has already thought about Khan, Rajput and Bhatt for the roles and recently said “I have already started scripting the film and thinking about the casting. As the story is mainly about three boys from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, I want to cast Sushant, Fawad for the two of them. For the female lead, I think Alia can play the part. Let’s see how the casting goes”, he said as reported in New Indian Express.
If the film goes ahead, it’s likely much of the filming will be in London where the author has also lived and has written about how people are struggling with their identity. However he has ensured the film would retain a light-hearted feel whilst exploring religious identities.
No official announcement has been made and it will be interesting to see whether Dubey manages to get the cast he wants.
