Asiana rejects Jade’s sari photo shoot request

Popular Brit-Asian fashion magazine Asiana has ‘flatly rejected’ a request made by Jade Goody to be shot in traditional Indian gear for an upcoming edition.

The 25-year old caused controversy when she picked on Bollywood beauty Shilpa Shetty in ‘Big Brother’ earlier this year. Jade who has given an interview to the magazine was hoping photographs with her in a sari would work in a bid to recover her reputation.

Shihab Salim, the magazine’s editor-in-chief, said: “The option of doing a photoshoot with her in a sari was flatly rejected. But our decision to run the story was sealed when she came back with priceless quotes such as ‘I now know to tell my kids Pakistani people are not from India.'”
