Asian Christian radio station launches on Sky

A new Asian Christian radio station has gone live on Sky Digital this week.

The station known as Radio Khushkhabri will takeover the slot previously occupied by Asian Gold on Sky channel 0151. Radio Khushkhabri will officially begin broadcasting from its new Hayes studios from Saturday 1st March.

An insider said “the station will consist of classical and contemporary Christian music along with world class entertainment through talk based shows”.

The channel has also hired Parag Kapoor as its station manager. Kapoor, a post graduate in media from Birmingham City University, has previously fronted the breakfast show on a popular Asian Birmingham radio station. Kapoor has also bagged interviews with key UK political figures.

He will also present the flagship evening show ‘UK Drive’ Monday to Friday on Radio Khushkhabri.
