Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari denies rift with Aanand L Rai

Rumours have been doing the rounds in B-town that Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Aanand L Rai have fallen out.

Tiwari, who is currently shooting ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ with Ayushmann Khurrana and Kriti Sanon in lead roles, denied these rumours and said to Deccan Chronicle, “Both Bareilly and Manmarziyan happened in my life simultaneously. Since Aanand sir also had to deliver the film in the first half of 2017, we mutually decided I direct one of the two films. Since Bareilly was set to go on floors, I decided I should do this one. Aanand sir and I are definitely working together in the future, for the love of making films and because of the marvellous equation we share.”

Rai produced Tiwari”s directorial debut ‘Nil Battey Sannata’ (2016) which starred Swara Bhaskar. Speculation arose when Tiwari’s husband, Nitesh Tiwari, opted out of directing Rai’s ‘Manmarziyan’, which is slated for release in 2017.
