Archana Puran Singh to replace Navjot Singh Sidhu on Kapil Sharma’s show?

Rumours are rife that Navjot Singh Sidhu has been asked to step down from ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ after his controversial comments about recent terror attack on Pulwama.

Sidhu took to social media to say, “For a handful of people, can you blame the entire nation and can you blame an individual? It (the attack) is a cowardly act and I condemn it firmly. Violence is always condemnable and those who did it must be punished.”

After his comments, users of Twitter demanded his removal from the show or boycott it completely. It seems the social media movement has helped as the channel is said to be in talks with the production house to replace Sidhu with Archana Puran Singh. A source told Times Now, ““The channel has told the production house to sack Sidhu. It’s not a temporary thing. They are going to get him out. In fact, even in the past, during the MeToo movement, when there were allegations against Anu Malik, the channel took a stand. The channel has shot a couple of episodes with Archana Puran Singh and most probably, she will be the one replacing Sidhu.”

The source added, “The episodes weren’t shot keeping this incident in mind but now the channel will be taking her on board fully. Some communication and closures need to happen and will then be finalised.”
