Anushka goes Goan for Anurag Kashyap�۪s next with Ranbir

Anushka Sharma has played a plethora of roles in her relatively short career. Right from the meek and shy Taani ��� a Punjabi girl trapped in a loveless marriage in ��Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ (2008), to a street smart wedding planner in the gem ��Band Baaja Baarat’ (2010), it seems, Anushka�۪s game for it all. Now Mid-Day reports that the talented actress will play a Catholic girl in Anurag Kashyap�۪s ��Bombay Velvet�۪ also starring Ranbir Kapoor.

���Anushka will be styled in skirts and tops in the film as she plays a Catholic girl based in Goa. She has been asked to meet a lot of Catholic people especially from Goa to pick up their accent and body language,�۝ said a source close to the unit of the film.

Little is known about ‘Bombay Velvet’, except that Ranbir is going to undergo a major makeover for his role in the film (a story which you can read here).

Anushka�۪s next is Yash Chopra�۪s as yet untitled project (which re-unites her with Shah Rukh Khan) and ��Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola’ (with Imran Khan), whilst Ranbir will be seen as a deaf, mute character in Anurag Basu�۪s ��Barfii�۪. The film also stars Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D’Cruz and is due to release this summer.
