Anurag Kashyap: “Yes, I am dating someone”

Director Anurag Kashyap has really been working out whilst shooting for his next offering, ‘Bombay Velvet’. Since separating with wife Kalki Koechlin, Kashyap has been linked to Huma Qureshi. However, he has finally admitted to dating someone recently, BizAsia can reveal.

The new lady in his life is the assistant director of ‘Bombay Velvet’ who he met at a party a few months ago. The couple are believed to have holidayed together recently after bonding since their first meeting. A source told Mumbai Mirror, “Anurag is crazy about her and fondly calls her Sabby. They recently went on a trip to Europe and spent a few days in Paris. He seems really happy and believes that Sabby has brought stability to his life at a time when his marriage to Kalki Koechlin was on the rocks”.

Kashyap himself admitted to it, saying, “Yes I am dating someone. I’m in a really happy phase right now”.

When asked whether Koechlin was aware, Kashyap said she was the first person he confided in. “She’s happy that I’m happy,” he said.

Kashyap also revealed that he is not wanting to take any kind of plunge yet and is happy to just see where this dating phase takes him. He is still officially married to Koechlin after all.
