Anurag Kashyap denies screening ‘Bombay Velvet’ at Cannes

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has denied rumours that his upcoming release ‘Bombay Velvet’ will be screened at next month’s Cannes Film Festival.

There have been rumours aplenty after a magazine published a list of films being screened at Cannes this year. It mentioned that ‘Bombay Velvet’ will have a special midnight screening session, however, Kashyap denies this. He said, ���As far as I know, our film is releasing 15th May all over and is not playing at the Cannes film festival except in the market.�۝

So while the film is playing at cinemas in Paris, rumours of it being a part of Cannes can finally be put to rest.

‘Bombay Velvet’ stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar. It releases on 15th May.
